Paris
Paris. I have such mixed emotions on this city. It intimidates me like no other, it frustrates me beyond belief and I hate to say but I have experienced many of the stereotypes to be true. However, behind all of this, as you explore the city you will come upon a little street or a quaint shop and the Paris you imagined will be found there.
Getting there: The Chunnel from London. A quick easy two hour ride in.
Accomodations: Hotel Bonaparte – Very kind staff, unbelievably run down rooms. Can’t beat the location for the price…but if you are hoping for a nicely decorated, updated room – look elsewhere.
Favorite Restaurants: Verjus – Tucked away down a little alley, you must keep your eyes peeled to find it! Chez Toinette – A dinner to remember, dark and romantic with some of the best french food we had tasted. And no trip is complete without a picnic at the Eiffel Tower. Grab some cheese from Nicole Barthelemy and of course some good wine…and head to the lawn for some great people watching.
