Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch and Cape Town are snuggled right next to each other and an easy drive apart. We kicked off our time in South Africa with a couple nights out in wine country, along with two of our close friends from California who happened to be traveling there as well! The hovering mountains that circled the valley were strikingly beautiful and the rolling hills of vineyards rivaled the beauty of California wine country.

Our favorite stop of the day was at Black Elephant Vintners. The owner has a lovely tasting room adjacent to his house, complete with a friendly old dog, and a parrot that sits on his shoulder as he pours.
