Florence
Florence is sort of magical. Unfortunately I have never got much time there. I passed through one night and this time for one day, so recommendations will be slim. Accommodation: Relais La Corte di Cloris – highly recommend! Comfortable spacious rooms and a beautiful garden attached. Tips: Buy “David” tickets ahead of time. You will skip the line and nothing is better than that! Get to the Duomo when it opens preferably. There will be a line of course but it will move quickly and you can breeze through. Parma
Parma is a lovely, quaint little city. While I don’t have many photos, since we quickly passed through, the FOOD is worth a mention!

San Gimignano, Italy
San Gimignano has probably been my favorite Tuscan town. The towers shooting up to create its skyline makes it striking to see from far away and being that it is on a hilltop gives fabulous views that stretch over Tuscany. In peak season go early to avoid the busses full of tourists…turns out, its lots of people’s favorite Tuscan town!

Siena, Italy
Siena is a perfect central location to see the southern part of Tuscany. Larger than many of the hilltop towns, Siena has lots of nooks and crannies to explore and a train comes right into it – helpful if you don’t have a car!
