Rwanda
The “path” we walked was thick and dense and though our guides used a machete to break through it, attempting to clear a walkway, there was still so much brush to hop over, climb under, or just plain plow through. It made you feel like a real adventurer! As we came into the clearing where the gorillas were located, it was the most magnificent sight. Nothing can quite compare to seeing Silverback gorillas face to face in their jungle.

Villa Tre Cipressi
Villa Tre Cipressi was perfection. Overlooking the rolling hills across to Barberino Val D’elsa the sunrises and sunsets were spectacular! The grounds were beautiful and many hours were spent lounging by the pool soaking up the Tuscan sun! The rooms were cozy and every last touch was considered.

Tuscany never ceases to take my breath away and makes me think this must be a tiny bit of what Heaven will look like.

Florence
Florence is sort of magical. Unfortunately I have never got much time there. I passed through one night and this time for one day, so recommendations will be slim. Accommodation: Relais La Corte di Cloris – highly recommend! Comfortable spacious rooms and a beautiful garden attached. Tips: Buy “David” tickets ahead of time. You will skip the line and nothing is better than that! Get to the Duomo when it opens preferably. There will be a line of course but it will move quickly and you can breeze through. No ticket needed. Climb the attached tower. This costs, but it worth it! There is so much more this city offers that I…
